College Admissions: A Road Map for 9th and 10th Graders

This workshop for 9th and 10th graders and their families will discuss what students can do now to be well-prepared for the college admissions process. It will offer insight into what colleges are looking for, advice on researching colleges and developing a college list, and guidance on standardized tests and campus visits.  The session will also include a brief overview of the Common Application and Coalition Application, including benefits of using the Coalition’s “locker” feature, as well as the role of the college essay and basics of financial aid.

Blyth-Templeton Academy presents our upcoming: “College Admissions: A Road Map for High School Students.” Our November event is for 9th and 10th grade students and their families.  This session will feature College Counselor, Rebecca Claster and will cover researching colleges, developing a college list, how colleges choose students, standardized tests, campus visits, preparing strong applications (including the Common Application and the Coalition Application), and a brief overview of financial aid. We strongly encourage BTA parents to attend! This event is also open to the public.
